Product Launch: PEPperCHIP® Hepatitis B Virus Proteome Microarray
July 28 is World Hepatitis Day. In line with this, PEPpeprPRINT launches the new PEPperCHIP® HBV Proteome Microarray. Hepatitis B is one of the most frequent infectious diseases with about 240 million chronically infected patients worldwide. Despite the availability of vaccines against Hepatitis B virus, about 750,000 people die of hepatitis B each year, about 300,000 of them due to liver cancer.
This raises an urgent need for improved vaccines with lower non- or low responder rates, since only 85-95% of vaccinated individuals have protective levels of antibody. Furthermore, improved treatment options for chronically infected patients are required. With our new PEPperCHIP® HVB Proteome Microarray, we introduce a new R&D tool to address these topics.
The new PEPperCHIP® HBV Proteome Microarray enables you to:
- Improve vaccines for reduced number of low/non-responders
- Identify and develop protective antibodies after liver transplantation
- Monitor personalized antibody responses and immune profiles
The PEPperCHIP® HBV Proteome Microarray further enables a proteome-wide epitope mapping of anti-HBV antibodies and patient sera against HBV genotypes (A-H) in a single assay.
